I know it's probably early to be asking for these yet, but I'm looking forward to planned upgrades for the Moreplay.

Still loving mine.  Use it every day.

They are in line after we get the BeePre 2 ready.

What is the rating of the capacitors in the signal path?

The stock coupling caps are 2.2uF/250V.

I could rationalize recommending 4.7uF/250V caps in their place.

Interesting...could you elaborate on that?

The recommendation stems from unannounced product upgrades.

How would this affect the tone? Doubling the value seems significant.

Technically, it won't have a large effect - just dropping the -3dB corner from ~5Hz to ~2Hz. A subtle improvement in the deep bass, perhaps. Based on experience with the BeePre and the Mainline, there does seem to be something there - but two out of two is still not statistically  meaningful. We'll probably assess it in the Moreplay when the upgrades are prototyped.

Moreplay and BeePre II are our first preamps with a low-impedance level control at the output instead of the usual high impedance control at the input, so we're still exploring what works best. Incidentally, this change was PB's idea, and it seems to be working out quite well.

The upgrade path would involve increasing the plate loading impedance by using a C4S board, which will allow for a lower impedance attenuator at the output.  The bigger coupling cap could be helpful there.

Ah yes...will be watching for the C4S upgrade.  Thanks guys!
