I thought I had hoarded a largish roll of the magnet wire from the Foreplay I days, because I kept using it for every project I built ever after, and it worked very well for me.

It is about time I assembled the Crack amp I bought on sale many moons ago.  I have looked high and low, garage, attic, spare bedrooms, all the spares boxes.  I can't find it.

Is there anything comparable around these days for little guys who don't need 1,000 feet?

I know how to work with Teflon solid strand copper, and it's fine and dandy, just not my D.O.C.

No worries either way, but thanks for listening.

Jamey

IIRC it was six nines 23 gauge (22?20?, can't remember) long crystal CCC from Vampire. We stopped buying it when the feel of the wire went from very soft annealed to hard. Michael Percy has similar stuff in various gauges.
