Just reached the fifty hour mark on a pair of 6005W tubes in my Moreplay. The 6005W is the military version of the 6AQ5. They have a lighter sound than the 7C5 or Reflector 6V6. Bass is nicely detailed but not as strong. Midrange is great. The highs roll off nicely. As with the other tubes, great separation between the channels. In the coming weeks I will try 6AQ5 and report back.

Just wanted to reply and let you know I appreciate your reporting on these different tubes. If you need any help trying out different tubes you have not yet let me know which ones, I am always up for tube rolling.

Thank you very much for your kind offer. I will let you know if I need any tubes for my next review. I really like the 6AQ5 in the Moreplay.

Did you need an adaptor for the 6AQ5 tubes? Also what brand did you get? I might just go ahead an order them myself to give them a listen.

Just past the 100 hour mark on a pair of 6005W manufactured by Sylvania. The first pair I reviewed were from RCA. The Sylvania's a have a more forward sound compared to the RCA's, very close to the sound of the 7C5 loctal.
