Hello everyone!

I'm havinf some difficulties with my stock crack. Currently I'm listening to put my build under test before install the speedball upgrade.

Since I was having some microphony and suddenly my left channel had no sound (tested the headphones, they were not the problem) I started reflowing everything and ended up breaking (I thing it was almost broken) one of the hlmp leds.

Since I live in Brazil and the shipping cost will be a little high, I would like to share my build in order to find any more faulites, so I can buy more spare/replacement parts within the same shipping.
If there is any more photos or any other things I shoud do, just ask please.

By the way, does the led have any function beside light? Could I use a wire/other led until the new leds get to me?

Thank you in advance.

2L and 4L could use a little more solder.

You can remove the broken LED and install a wire from A3 to A8 and your Crack will work normally again.

Thank you Paul!
I will work a little more and test it.

Also, is there any other reemplacent that is always handy to keep, besides led?

Once the kit is operational you should look at having a new tube set purchased within 10-20 years.

hahaha
I really have a hard time to decide which one is better: the bottlehead product or the forum.

Paul once again thank you for your fast response! Stay safe!

The broken led war from A3 to center pin (attached photo).

The A8 to center pin led is good.

Should I attach a wire from A3 to center pin or A3 to A8?

Yes, you can add the jumper as a stop gap measure to get the amp back up and running.
