Well, I was bored today and decided to do the DC filament upgrade. Wow! Talk about lowering the noise floor! Absolutely no background on my Klipsch fortes. Very cool!

One question: The instructions say to check the hum adjustment but after I did the upgrade I'm getting absolutely no reading on my meter (just zero mV). Is this normal?

You may need a really sensitive meter and/or an oscilloscope to really resolve the noise floor properly.  Mainly you don't want to assume that the null will be in the same spot on the hum pot.  If you can't hear any hum, I wouldn't worry about it.
