Hi guys, after reading a few posts I decided to try and or done Pre-out rca's to my Crack.

I added a second set next to the input rca's, and tapped the l/r/ground to the 3 x output posts on the left-hand side of the headphone jack. I made the ground common to both) l/r Pre-out rca's.

I'm not getting any output aside from the faintest sound in the right hand channel when turned right up.

Have I used the correct place to tap the pre-outs to? Image: Crack Pre-out https://imgur.com/a/zIpcbm3

The Crack mutes the headphone output with no headphones plugged in.  You'll need to plug in a 1/4" to 1/8" headphone adapter to get output from what you've wired in.

I tried the 1/4" to 1/8" headphone adapter method long time ago as a pre-out to my Dynaudio, not sounding very attractive...LOL  ;D

I believe DarkVoice 336 has a separate pre-out circuit from its headphone out, and uses different output cap values. There could be some differences in the output caps, not sure exactly how much capacitance is required for pre-out and/or other adjustments  :-[

The funny thing is the DV336 crowd tried their best to get rid of the built-in pre-out, while here we're trying to add the pre-out... ;D

Got it working - it's adding some much-needed texture and body to my NCore500 power amp.
