Tubes?
« on: March 28, 2022, 12:25:12 PM »
Hi Bottlehead headquarters,

With some assistance from Paul B. I've been really enjoying my Moreplay for about 24 hours. Ergo not really broken in, but the synergy with my Elekit TU-8600 is amazing. Just so musical. Really curious as to what what brand and variation of 6V6 you've provided. They just sound terrific.

Thanks,

Alan

Enjoy them. They are Soviet surplus we (used to) get from Ukraine.

One more reason to support the Ukrainian people. Hope their tube supply survives but most important that the country and it's people survive.

I was finally able to register. I was wondering if anyone know if Ken-Rad 6F6G tubes are compatible in the Moreplay?

6F6 draws too much heater current to use without changing the heater voltage dropping resistors.

There is a discussion of alternate tubes in this post:

(There are more discussions of tube alternates in the sub-forum; this is just my initial post.)
