Yes, double check those center lug AC signal voltages to verify the bottom lug is zero.

Doc and PB:  It's fixed and it sounds great!  Listening to Brian Auger's Oblivion Express album Straight Ahead.  Wow!  See picture.

I re-flowed the solder on the volume pot connections.  Also, you know that balance pot lug that is tricky due to having 3 heavy black wires in that tiny pot lug?  I re-made that connection which was kind of wonky.  When I measured the voltage on the right channel lug of the volume pot......there it was: a signal!

This would have taken me forever without your help Paul.  I apologize if it was torture.

This is significant because I built this one for my friend Tony.  Now I get to build one for me.

Impossible readings are indeed often nothing more than a missing ground connection. I'm glad you found it.
