Hi everyone

I had the Crack kit waiting on my desk for more than six months. I had the opportunity to complete the Crack this week. Very fun to build. Instruction are so easy to follow. I am not an audiophile but the sound is wonderful for me and I do not have the Speedball option.

I have two small concerns:

1) I can see a white wire (pin 10 to headphone jack) through the cathode resistors vent on the aluminium frame. Could it be a problem with time. This wire will be heated by the 10 watts resistors.

2) During my resistance check, I measured  for RCA jack center pin: Right channel : 103.3 K ohms and Left channel : 93.9 K ohms. It is about 10 percent variation between channels. Should it be a concern?

Thank you

I haven't ever seen those 10W resistors scorch a wire.  The difference in resistance between the channels on the pot won't cause any issues.
