Hi,

My Stereomour II's new home is inside a cabinet which gets quite hot during operation.  There is a rear hole in the cabinet and I'd like to mount a 12V pc fan in the hole to exhaust the hot air.  Could I tap the 12AT7 heater supplies (at terminals C4 and C9) to power the fan without impacting performance?

Happy Holidays to all.

A 12V PC fan will be expecting 12V DC and the Stereomour uses 6.3V AC for heating the 12AT7.  You can cut the end off an old 12V wall wart to power the fan, then it can also stay in the cabinet if you decide to slide the Stereomour out for any reason.
