365 ohm sub?
« on: May 25, 2023, 08:59:13 AM »
I seem to have lost the 3650F resistors . I have some that are 360 ohm and read 362. Will they work? Also, what is that wattage on the ones that were in the kit? Thanks.

362 is close enough. That's less than 1% deviation and the original parts were 1%.  Probably 5% would be adequate in most cases.

Metal film is preferred, though carbon film is probably acceptable. Do not use carbon composition - it will be noisy and drift in value as it ages. Any power rating greater than 0.05 watts is adequate; I'd use 1/2 or 1/4 watt.

Thanks, Paul. I figured the ones I have on hand would be ok. I appreciate the confirmation. Actually I think my thief of a cat may have got them for her secret treasure pile ;)
