After assembling and starting to use the power cord kit, I became a bit concerned that the somewhat rigid length of the heat shrink extending a few inches beyond the base was at risk of being knocked around (likely by my clumsy self). It also looked like the weight of the cord could be pulling on the plug, gaining leverage from that length of heat shrink. Granted, scores of these have been made and used without (at least publicized) issue so it's quite possible that my second concern at least isn't merited. Still, I couldn't help myself and after some searching around found a properly oriented C13/C14 right angle adapter (pictured).
Aesthetically and positionally it works as I intended, thereby satisfying my OCD urges. But I do have a question. Does the adapter compromise the effectiveness of the cord to any degree? The sound seems to be just as good (at least on my initial listen) but I am curious as to whether anyone has some input.
Thanks.
