transformer hum kaiju

Have a power transformer hum that i can hear from about 3 feet away
is this normal ?
the hum is not from the speakers
if I remove the 300b tubes the  transformer hum all but disappears

My Kaiju PT hums like that.  You can try tightening its screws (the ones holding it together, not the ones connecting it to the chassis).  That might quiet it some.  In my case, I can't hear the hum from my listening position so I don't worry about it.

the amp sounds great
I installed the dc power  supply yesterday after about 30 hours of burn in because I thought the tubes were where the hum was coming from
and maybe some of the hum was from them
any way the dc supply totally got rid of and hum from the speakers  Amazing! I have la scalas
so the power trans seems to be the only issue
