I’m planning on building either a VTA SP14 or BeePre2. I’m leaning towards the BP, but have two questions. First, I’ll be pairing it with an Elekit TU-8900 amp  with 300 B’s I recently built and I’m wondering if they’d be compatible. I don’t know enough to be able to determine that with certainty. Second, I’ll want to make it the best it can be, so would want to add the attenuator upgrade, but they’re currently showing back ordered. Is it plausible to build the kit with the stock controls and retrofit the upgrade after completion? Or would it be problematic because of accessibility?
Also wondering if there’s any specific capacitor or tube upgrades to be recommended.
Thanks for any input.

The input impedance of the 8900 is sufficiently high to work appropriately with the bone stock BeePre2, so no worries there.  Yes, you definitely want to build the kit stock first, as it's much easier to debug in its simplest form.  As an added bonus, you can get used to how the stock kit sounds prior to adding the first upgrade, then make your own observations about sonic changes with the subsequent modifications.
