I thought this was too whacky for the phono forum:



It's a steampunk turntable.  And it's literally steam and punk.  And it's steampunk!

for those who don't know, arduino is an opensource hardware mcu project. it makes building embedded microcontrollers easy (well easier, I've never actually used on). Anyother hobby of mine I gave up a few years ago.

I saw that recently.  The whistling and chugging would spoil my listening.  Maybe the steam would clean the LPs?

I also noticed the arm is set up to play the Beatles "White" album backward.  It is pivoted oddly.

When I was a kid in the 50s I had a steam engine like this.  It had one attachment.  I didn't find my steam engine that interesting.  This one is much better.  I should have had the turn table attachment.
