The Bottleneck Russian Linestage Competition will be delayed until a date in the future - most likely May.  Unfortunately, this weekend ended up being bad for all but two entries.

So now the good news... you have one more month to get a linestage together to participate.  Please let me know what days in May will work for everyone.

I PM'd you with dates that I am available.

I have my project ready.  If I have time I may try and tweak it a little

Kind of got into the Russian theme.  Used 6N6P tubes,  I am surprised how good these inexpensive tubes sound.

I have a number of extra 6N6P if anyone needs a couple.

I was just thinking about this as I was grabbing lunch...

Can everyone please post what dates in June they might be available.  I think May is out because of conflicts between people's schedules.

At least I am finding time to track down that hummmmmmm.

So far, any day in June suits me. July and August are out of the question however.

I'm probably going to have to re-house the 6S17K-V linestage. The heat that is built up in the blue bowl is sufficient to change the bias and so one channel disappears after about 5 minutes and then both channels. Everything is fine when the bowl is turned upside down and is open to the top and the heat can dissipate easily. I've tried drilling more holes in the bowl, but to no avail. The first transformer (115 : 12.6) puts out too much heat.

I think June 18 or June 19 will be the best days.  Please way in.

Hey - I'll be in Richmond that week, and free on Saturday the 18th except for a dinner engagement. It would be great to meet some of you all! Looks like a straight shot up I-95, right?

Saturday June 18th would work great for me.  Plus it would be very cool to meet Paul Joppa if he can make it.

Yep.  I-95 to I-495 to Rt-267. Its about 2 hours all highway driving.  It would be great for you to join us.

Let's plan on June 18 then.

BTW, my hum is lower this evening, but still not acceptable.  Keep soldering everyone, there is still time.

That would be fun. As a rule, the southern most meetings are just a bit further than I want to drive, on a day off. I would love to show Paul my version of his SR-45...John
