NOS EF86 prices

I just stumbled across reasonable looking prices for NOS EF86 tubes on eB. Search for EF86. You will get to see all variants: 6267, EF86, 6J32P, EF806s ... maybe even EF804 and EF804s which have a different pinout.

I am not terribly fond of Tesla and recent [newer than mid '70s] 6J32P. I noticed some '60s 6J32P that are dirt cheap and might be nice, but there are so many others currently available that it might not be too expensive to go with a fancy brand.

I started a list, long ago before purchasing, of substitutes and tubes requiring a socket re-wire for the three audio tubes in the Eros.  I have 16 of the Russian 6Ж32П, 6J23P, equivalents.  They are CHEAP and well balanced.   Of course, the soundstage is also great or I wouldn't have them.  I think it is the additional bracing they employ for military use tubes.
