Hello I am new to the diy audio but after quite a bit of research the Bottlehead kits look like a great solution to my new project.  I am trying to restore an old rca victor counsel and need some help.  I would like to keep the functionality somewhat original but with enhanced "freak in the sheets" performance.  The original speaker setup has two 3" speakers as well as a 10" woofer below.  I was thinking of reproducing this with two Fostex 126en drivers supplemented by a woofer powered by a separate amp.  I am aware these are 4" drivers but there is room.

I plan on listening to a range of music but mostly funk, jazz and some folk in a medium to small sized living room and am curious to know if the Fostex 126en will work well with the Stereomour 2A3.  If you have other suggestions on a pair of 4" or 3" sensitive drivers please let me know.  I also need help choosing a woofer that is anything under 10" that will be compatible with these two speakers.  I am open to any other diver combinations that will fit inside a 14"x 16" square.

Thanks for the help,

You might try Louis Chochos at Omega Loudspeakers, as he has developed a 4.5" single driver that has a hemp cone and sounds great, going out to where your hearing likely falls off. Very sensitive and suitable for low wattage amps. With a larger cone handling the bass, it should be very articulate. Drop him an email to inquire and say Hank sent you. Cheers, Hank
