240v 50hz to 120v 60hz

Anyone know of a somewhat simple way to convert a 240v 50hz crack to a 120v 60hz crack? I have a buddy when a 240v I want to use but im in the usa.

You can convert the voltage with an outboard transformer.  You can not convert the frequency.  However it won't matter with the conservative ratings on Bottlehead designed transformers.

For temporary use that would be fine.  The smallest transformer you can get is about 50 VA, much more than you need for a Crack.

But... Bottlehead sells 240V transformers for most products.  Put in an email or call to the Queen.

While we don't explicitly sell the PT-3 power transformer on its own, I think it could be made available for a situation like this where an existing product needs conversion.  (The PT-3 would not perform well with the secondaries connected in series, so we withhold it from the DIY community for this reason)
