Hi,

Just built the new quickie and the A side doesn't work (with both inputs, both tubes...).
Checked all I could and...

I measure on A 1/7 1.4v while on B1/7 3v.

Any ideas for what might be the problem ?

(I switched the caps (the 150MF), checked the resistors...

I'm guessing either A2/6 is zero (no voltage from the 36-v array) or a bad connection at A5 so no filament current is flowing. Or of course a failed tube - swap tubes to check that!

PAUL THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woke up this morning (we are 10h behind you); read your lines that focused me precisely to where I also thought the problem must be; measured carefully the connectivity path to A4 and... yep ! the resistor connection to Terminal 1U was COLD... soldered it right and MUSIC IS PLAYING !

This is my fourth project. I built the Stereomour and now the Quickie and the Foreplay3 and Tode are still waiting. The Forum experience and your support are just superb !!!

Have a great weekend,

Ze'ev
