Very low volume on Quickie

Hello,

I'm new to building these kits and have run into an issue I can't figure out. The Quickie worked fine when I first set it up with the stock tubes, but after switching them out for NOS Mullards, the volume was very low. I had the Quickie and power amp (HK solid state) turned all the way up and could just barely hear the music. It was also pretty distorted. The other strange thing is I put the stock tubes back in and the same behavior occurred. I cleaned the pins on the NOS tubes as they were quite dirty from 57 years of sitting around, but it didn't help. These are my current readings for resistance and voltage:

A7 - 1.07

9 - 1.07

Voltage

1 - 30.83
6 - 30.49
2 - 37.66
7 - 37.66
4 - 2.21
9 - 2.35
5 - 0.00
10 - 0.00

C - 3.89
D - 3.71

One other thing to note is I'm using the chokes instead of the 4k resistors. But they were working fine when I first tested it.

Anyone have an idea of what to check and what the issue might be? I've been able to troubleshoot other issues I've had, but am at a loss on this one.

The voltages look good so the amplifier electronics are working. volume controls, power, and interconnects?

I bypassed the Quickie with some RCA female-to-female connectors and the signal comes through strong, so although the interconnects aren't great, they appear to be working. Is there a way to check that the volume pot is working correctly? Seems like that may be where the issue lies as the tubes appear to be getting the power they need. I'm using brand new batteries to power it.

Seems to be working now after a complete check of the connections, not sure what the problem was.
