Hey so I was going to give my Crack an overhaul sooner or later and one of those on my list is the RCA jacks. I do not have a particular choice in mind right now but I'm open to choices. I do not mind suggestions for fancy WBT/Furutech stuff but I wanted a general opinion on the use of these higher end RCA jacks as compared to the "plain" bunch like Cardas or Vampire. And no I'm not really interested in the Rhodium plated jacks, just plain gold over copper is fine. Thanks

Count me as curious as well (throw Greg in there, so that makes three)! I have yet to read a single review, opinion, or anything about RCA jack comparisons etc. There most likely is a difference. It seems like it would be a simple thing to test (well maybe not). I havent tweaked my Quickie in quite some time. I'm jonesin' here man!

I like the solid copper bodied rca jacks from vampire...

 - not exactly cheap @ $40/pair, but not exactly made of brass either.

I have a couple pairs of, if I remember right, Vampire jacks that I used to replace a pair of the Parts Express jacks on a build I did over 10 years ago.   I bought the jacks relatively inexpensively as someone had replaced them with something "better" (probably WBT).    Maybe you'll hear a difference but I sure couldnt.  Quelled my own curiosity and has certainly helped the wallet over the years.  But that's just me, if you think they sound better then that's all that matters.   I cant recall reading about any side by side comparison on RCA jacks either but I do know that some of the DIY guys and tweakers will swear the expensive RCA jacks sound better.
