Joshua,

I envy your ability to listen this much.  I can't right now.

Sun City Girls - 330,003 Crossdressers from Beyond The Rig Veda (Get Back)

I'm listening to stuff while I work. Some people listen to the radio at the office; I write 2 feet away from a turntable and surrounded by great records, so why not listen to the good stuff?

Sun City Girls are soooo good. I thought their final record was a mini-masterpiece.

What do you write? I am unable to write and listen, unless it's totally ambient music.

MV & EE - Fuzzweed (Three Lobed)

I write manuals for Bottlehead. This thread has been the soundtrack accompanying the creation of the Reduction manual.

That is one of the benefits of working for a musical company.  We make toilet paper and hand towels in the mill where I am working.  Music is a far cry from there.  Still, I listen to ripped CDs while working on AutoCad during the slow days.

Finally, someone I recognize - Yo La Tengo .  They recently played a set at my favorite Record Store, Grimeys here in Nashville.

I bought Electr-O-Pura directly from them after a show on the small stage at Lolapolooza in '95. They seem to me to be a superior live band. The albums just don't capture their energy.
