Interconnects with Reduction

I just ordered a Reduction and am a bit confused about the preferred interconnects that the nit is designed to use.  Can someone please explain.

The 1M recommendation has to do with the amount of capacitance that is present with most interconnects and the Reduction's ability to drive this capacitance. Beyond 1M, this capacitance can begin to affect the high frequency response of the Reduction, resulting in attenuation and phase shift.

If you must go beyond 1M of cable length, look for an interconnect under 15pF per foot.

Thanks. Is this applied for cables from turntable to Reduction and Reduction to power amp?

That is for the Reduction driving a load (integrated amp or preamp).

The turntable to Reduction interconnect capacitance is generally dictated by the phono cartridge used, though this specification seems to have largely disappeared from cartridge specifications (likely because users were expecting this capacitance to be present at the input of the phono preamp, not part of the cabling).

One can also pick up a lot of noise through the cables between turntable and phono preamp if the lengths aren't kept reasonable.
