A while back there was a thread asking for advice on what Oscillosopes to buy. A friend of mine recently picked up one of these.

He highly recommends it. 50 Mhz is more than enough for audio work. However if you need more bandwidth for RF or computer use there is a 100 Mhz version for $70 more.

I'm tempted to buy one of those just based on the shallow depth of the case, it would certainly fit better in my work space!

If you buy a new scope, I'll help dispose of the old one.

You need the shack to put it in first!

Not to hijack the thread, but in the context of affordable scopes...Has anyone tried any of the oscilloscope iPad apps?  I was thinking of going for one of those rather than picking up yet another space-consuming piece of equipment.  The downside is a potentially kludgey hardware interface.

I tried it once, don't remember which app it was, but I was not impressed.  I found that a usb oscilloscope interface to my computer worked better, though still not as good as a stand alone scope
