So i finally got around to finishing my PDG amp with some cool feet. While i had it open i swapped out a ps cap with a nicer one and decided that was it: this thing is boutiqued out! Im finished.
So i go to put some cardas binding posts in my SR-45 cuz they still had stock posts. I had tried some audio note posts but didn't fit the holes right and the cardas ones match the color scheme better. So i pull the sr45 and put in the PDG and one channel is not working:(
Today I picked up an original PDG from a friend who had been borrowing it. So in it went into the system. Wow. It sounds really good. A lot of life. Not quite as smooth as the sr45 but definitely worth listening too. I have never really listened to an air gapped amp before...
Anyway pleasant bottlehead surprise! And PB's chassis is rock solid and professional and stylish!
