New member here with my first post!

I got my Crack kit over the weekend and have everything laid out for my build. I'm very inexperienced, so I plan on taking it slow and methodical. I am really enjoying reading the threads about tube rolling options and looking at pictures of everyone's builds. Ive gotten some great ideas and am really excited about this whole experience.  :)

But I have a question - and pardon me if this has already been covered...

I've noticed photos of a few other builds that have the Crack mirror-imaged with the volume control on the right-hand side. I really want to do this, but I can't wrap my brain around how this will affect the wiring. Logic tells me that it's going to be greatly more difficult because I will have to think hard about every wire and solder joint, and polarity on every component.

Is this going to be a brain-teaser or is there a simple way to do this?

It's funny you mention this, I've accidentally built a few Cracks this way.

You'll need to drill an extra hole for the anti-rotation tab on the potentiometer, as you want the potentiometer tabs facing rearward.

I would also NOT mirror the insertion of the IEC socket, but rather just use some insulated wire for the safety ground buss between the E lug and the chassis solder lug.

As for the rest of the circuit, you can leave everything as-is, just adjust your wire lengths.

(I don't recommend doing this, by the way, providing tech support via the forum will be much more difficult and the likelihood of needing repair will greatly increase)

Thank you for the info. I won't try it. Maybe with a future project when I have my first build under my belt.
