Heard this on World Cafe, and it really grew on me:

"Too soon old;
   Too late schmart"

The late Mr. Fox, Fox's Deli, Rochester, NY

And then there's Levon. Don't make 'em like that no more.

Hi everyone...first post :-)

My latest favorites:

Rosanne Cash: River of the Thread
The National: Trouble will find Me
Gregory Porter: Liquid Spirit
Pat Methany: Kin

All of these are fine albums and wonderfully recorded with the Pat Methany being an exceptional recording.

I mentioned the National earlier, if you like trouble will find me, try High Violet if you haven't already.  One of my favorite albums of all time.

Yesterday I received an LP reissue of Bill Evans, Sunday At The Vanguard.

Didn't spin it yet.

Received my Ryan Adams Love Is Hell album by Mobile Fidelity.  3 LPs and absolutely gorgeous.  I have only listened to one side, but it sounded wonderful.

I have two new albums this week. Beck: Morning Phase and Pat Methany: Kin. They are both outstanding and beautifully recorded.

Well one CD - Vaya Con Dios - "The Best of Vaya Con Dios"  old CD but great female vocals in Dani Klein.  Second is an LP, Legend the Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers. Listening to this last album makes me realize just how great his music is.  Too bad we lost him.

+ 1 Dani Klein & Vaya Con Dios  your post is most probably the first time I have seen them mentioned on a bb for a very long time. Will have to dig my albums out again.

I recently discovered Alabama Shakes digging through a similar thread on head-fi.  The few songs i have heard were enough for me to order the album.

Funny enough I was re-loading my Alison Krauss + union station live to my tunes server today and discovered it was a two cd set duh! Its only taken four months to discover this as once ripped to lossless the cd gets put away.
And who is playing on the first track but Jerry Douglas I only realise the other day that he features on the Mumford & Sons Bable cd on the Boxer track. Without knowing it I now have a number of tracks which Jerry is guesting on.
