Jamie,

Try Skip, Hop & Wobble or Glide.  They are both Jerry Douglas CDs.  Not available on vinyl, sadly.

Grainger thanks I will take a look at them.  I missed your post and have only just seen it, my show unread posts went a bit wonkey for a while but seems to be working fine now.

Just listened to Los Indios Tabajaras "Always in My Heart" and a few of their other CD's. AIMH is hybrid CD, but like all of their CD's the sound quality is exceptional. Some excellent nylon Flamenco/Jazz style guitar, and considering they recorded in 50's they are superb recordings (better than many put out today.) Definitely worth a listen.

lol thats going to make me chuckle every time I hear it now ;D

I swapped out the 25 old electrolytic crossover capacitors for films in my main speaker today only took 10 minuets to do both speakers! Definitely made a improvement.

Snoop Doggy Dogg, Doggystyle

A little off the topic, but tried a couple of micr-brews this week: "Raging Bitch" and "Doggie Style." I definitely like my stouts, but these were some great ale's and 8.7% alcohol. The little lady really enjoys being served a "Raging Bitch" to go along with her foot massage after work...no comment on where/when the "Doggie Style" comes in.

Since you asked....

I have a 5" thick stack of LPs waiting to be cleaned.  I won't list them all but highlights are:

The Blues Project, Live at Town Hall
Gino Vanelli, Storm At Sunup
Bill Evans Toots Thielerman, Affinity
DiMeola, McLaughlin & DeLucia, Friday Night In San Francisco Live
Bill Evans, Sunday At The Village Vanguard
John Stewart, Trancas
Stephen Stills, Thoroughfaire Gap

I have to get to work cleaning these.  I did sample some without cleaning but I prefer a clean LP first.

Grainger what method do you use for cleaning your records? It's always interesting to pick up new tips/tricks from others with much more experience than myself.

I have a VIP 16.5, a pair of vacuum tubes (VIP pickup tubes), a pair of Disk Doctor brushes and use AIVS cleaning fluid with their Ultra Pure Water rinse.

I have used everything from Dust Bugs, Diskwashers (the first generation and 2 more), Preeners, VIP's fluid and a number of others.  This is the best fluid I have ever used.

Just pre-ordered Cara Dillon's new album "A Thousand Hearts"  I can honestly say I have not been so excited about listening to new album for a long long time. Its been in the making for a couple of years now, what also makes it a little bit extra special is that its her first album to be released on Vinyl! It will be also be on their own label so I would bet heavily its also been very well produced.

It was really wonderful to find out it was going to available on vinyl, quiet exciting. I think I might shed a tear or two of joy. I even went and pre-ordered the cd as well!

Wooo hooo

I just received the latest "Timber Timbre" named "Hot Dreams". Immersing atmosphere, great sound. I really like it.
