First time poster and soon to be builder of a Crack and Speedball here!

Anyways, I have an Alps Blue 50k pot on the way, but i can't help my curiosity of others. I see people using PEC, TKD, Gold Point to some effect.

What about TOCOS and Khozmo? They seem like they're both pretty nice and I understand Khozmo had issues in the past, but have had a revision since. Any feedback on these?

TOCOS RV24 Series here:

Khozmo Stepped Attenuator here:

Thanks fellas!

Welcome my friend! -- I have not tried that pot. I think it depends on how fine adjustment you need. The stepped pots are the best sounding. You can go crazy on those (expensive). Alps is a good start. I like the TKD for bucks.

I recommend the "ladder-style" stepped attenuators available from Vintage Audio Lab (VALab) on eBay. Excellent quality and only $25.

I second Adam's recommendation of the VLAB.  I bought it based on Adam's suggestion.  I installed it in my Quickie.

I believe you may need to make the hole bigger to install it though.

The size difference is minimal. 30 seconds of filing is all that is needed.

That VALAB pot looks pretty nice. I guess I'll might be the first to try the pots I mentioned, just a matter of taking the plunge  :)

Funny you should mention the Tocos. I just used one in a Phono pre-amp build and am very happy with it, so got another to fit soon to my Crack (stock kit + speedball).
There is a review here http://www.hificollective.co.uk/pdf/cosmos_review_neville.pdf in which it beats the Alps & TKD.
Not familiar with the stepped attenuators mentioned but they cost a lot more (with the exception of the Valab).
