Hi there,

I was wondering, if you plan to bring out a parallel SET kit one day, so that us folks not having super efficient speakers can enjoy the experience.

The output transformers of the Paramounts can be wired for 1 ohm. What we do here is take four Paramounts wired this way, and run the transformer secondaries in series, for four ohms. We're getting about 36 watts. This way you don't have to worry about one tube hogging current, each has its own power supply.

PJ and I have also been discussing the possibility of a parallel SE pentode amp. There may be some experiments with that concept later this year.

Yes, that would be great!.. Like me, I always seem to have speakers around 85 to 90 db only.... Not sure why I do, but it just works out this way... I surely cannot be alone...

I would like a PSE DHT amp, with a DHT driver and transformer coupled.
I guess I have to design and build one myself.

I am just thinking that an amp with 25 watts or more, If possible, would open up Doc's market for others maybe on the fence with beloved but inefficient speaks...
