I have Crack + Speedball and Sennheiser HD 650 headphones which I love dearly.

Source is either Raspberry Pi or Nexus 7 of which the two RPi sounds best with a much cleaner and darker background.

I've been having a dynamite time listening to Sony MDR-V6 headphones on my SEX amp at work and I think the V6 are just amazing.

So I'm on ebay the other day and I stumble across someone that posts a brand new pair for $35 so i snatch them up.  No box but they were clearly new and had a gold plated extra adapter in them so I suspect that they were an audiophiles acquisition and they didn't like them.

I wanted to hook them up to Crack but knew about the impedance mismatch and just figured they wouldn't sound good so up to now I didn't try it.

Maybe I'm 100% crazy but I enjoy the sound of the Sony MDR-V6 more than my too expensive Sennheiser?  Am I crazy?

And probably the most important question.......would long term use of these phones put any strain on the amp or the cans with the large impedance mismatch.  I read the FAQ about the power.

There won't be any damage to the amplifier, just excessive bass roll-off and an increase in distortion.

Thanks.  I'm not hearing it though.  I think these MDR-V6's are the cats meow. I've got them on now and will do an A and B later.

Now that I know about them and their history, I'm amazed at how often they pop up in media.   Music videos when somebody is in the studio.........artists, sound board people, news shows.  The things are seemingly everywhere.   I even saw some photos of Dr. Dre wearing them.
