I have some Solen poly caps (100 mf). Went to hook them up for break-in using Graniner's method before installation in my well broken in Crack and noticed that one lead is considerably longer than the other. I know that poly caps have no polarity but is the different lead length significent in some way? Is it best to connect the positive side to a particular lead? Any input is appreciated before I start break-in.

There is an "outer warp" to film caps.  It doesn't make a large difference but it can make a slight difference in the noise level if oriented properly.

I have never known which is which so I can't really attest to which is best.
