My Crack came last night and after unpacking it all and spending lots of time lost in the magic of of my new toy, I decided to have at it. But, even though it takes the fun out of it for me to read instructions, I decided to do so in this case. Boy was that a mistake! Wouldn't play on my Mac &%$@#@!! Ahh, says I have to download Adobe Reader. All 305 mb of it.  My internet is 600kb ( don't ask), so I started the download and went to bed. Came home tonight ready to go and it still will not show up on my desktop. Boy, building this thing is going to be tough! Tried to find the " Crack Manual 4-10-12 " on the web with no luck. Anyone know were I can download this thing?

It's just a PDF file. The preview app that comes with a Mac opens it fine and works much better than Acrobat. Give it a try...

Sounds like a bad cd. I'm sure they can send you a file via email if you ask.

If you are unable to open a PDF, you can take the disc to most shipping centers, or possibly your public library to print out the manual.

It's not a question of not being able to open a PDF file. The CD does not show up on my Desktop. The macbook does not even regognize it.

Problem solved, but not understood. I use an Other World Computing DVD player with my Macbook, through a USB hub. I tried plugging the player directly into the two USB ports on the Mac and the CD showed up. Why  would it not work through a hub like all my CD's do? Anyway, I off to make my Crack.

Glad you worked it out, because it sounds like an issue that is pretty far out of our realm of tech knowledge. We have a new website in development and hopefully we will be able to have the manuals available for download once you have completed an order for a kit.  I have wanted to do this for years, but there was a technical issue with our current web hosting that would not allow it.

That's Doc. I'm loving this project. Think a powered hub will fix my problem.
