Got the crack assembled. Resistance tested out good. T9 and B6 read 0v (should be 100v) while all the rest tested out OK (T7 B3 read ~110v). Voltage readings on other terminals were all within spec. I've checked socket orientation and it was correct. Both LED lit up on the 9 pin. Both tubes were glowing. All soldering joints seemed to be fine. Any suggestion? Thanks!

Problem solved. It was the 6080 tube that has one channel not working. Although both filament were glowing fine, one of the cathode was not emitting. I ordered a Tung sol 5998 and plugged in and both channel works now.  I am sending back the old tube for a replacement as a backup. Thanks Paul for the help over the phone.

I then proceeded with the speedball upgrade and the improvement was quite significant.

It has been a fun process building it and the music coming out of the crack is simply stunning. ;D

Cheers!

I've got the same problem. How did you go about troubleshooting to determine if the tube is bad? Against my better judgement I plugged in some headphones and only the right channel worked. Everything except for T9 and B6 are within ~15ish volts of what it should be.
