Hi

Not sure when this problem just started but I am getting an "Airy Like fuzz" from my left channel only of the Reduction. The fuzz is at a low volume but defiantly noticeable.

It sound like air blowing at a consistant level and Freq. Or like a waterfall flowing i nthe far distance.  The fuzz would be difficult to hear while music is playing but during quiet portions of music it might be detected. It is totally noticeable when no music is playing or on the lead in of a song or album.

It is NOT my cables as I have swapped
It is definitely coming from the reduction left channel

This fuzz is only detected when the volume is high. but the real concern is that the RIGHT CHANNEL has much less noise at high volume then the LEFT CHANNEL.

I can make recordings of the sound and difference if that would help

any thoughts would be appreciated

Most likely a tube. Switch the tubes to confirm. Noise in tubes tends to die down after about 50 hours of use.

Ok, I have 2 spare tubes i can try. I dont have 50 hours on the Reduction as of yet. I was wondering if this was something to do with Break in. I will update after I change the tube

thank you

Changing the Tube worked, the "Airy like fuzz" is gone.

So is that a faulty tube or just a tube breaking in??

You probably had some oxidation on the tube pins that got knocked off by swapping them around, this isn't too abnormal for old stock tubes.
