I'll build an Eros eventually, and will want it to be a quiet as my dead quiet two-chassis Seduction, but I don't want to go as far as two chassis.  Would it work to lengthen the Eros chassis by 3" so as to put the power supply end further from the audio circuitry?  I'd cut the top plate in half (roughly), as I did with the Seduction's, and make my own wood chassis.  Wires from the PS section would have to be about 3" longer.

The specially designed power transformer and optimized transformer orientation make the Eros very, very quiet.  It is far quieter than the Seduction, in fact.  If you wanted to go for maximum isolation, you could make a steel enclosure for the top of the transformer, or use a Hammond Box over the signal section.

Going through all that trouble for 3 more inches of distance will likely not be super helpful.
