The Paramount page shows these specs:

• Sensitivity: Full power at 1.56v (300B); about 0.94v (2A3)
• Gain: About 8 at the 8 ohm tap (21.5 dBV)

While for Stereomour we have:

• Sensitivity: Full power at about 0.4v (2A3)
• Gain: About 8 at the 8 ohm tap (21.5 dBV)

Since power is nearly identical we can't have that big of a difference in sensitivity with the same gain.

Furthermore, the Paramount uses a much lower-gain first stage than the Stereomour's 12AT7.

So, I think the Paramount's gain spec is wrong - it must be significantly lower than 21.5 dB - and just wanted to point that out.  Can someone please confirm?

(It makes sense that the Stereomour would have more gain since it's an integrated amplifier.  However, I for one wish the Paramounts *did* have 21 dB of gain as they'd then be suitable for use with a passive line stage with my high-eff speakers.)

Yes, I don't think that specification ever got changed when we went from the 12AT7 to the 5670, which has less voltage gain, and therefore makes the amplifier a bit less sensitive.
