My kit was missing its #8 solder lug. I was able to put everything else together, but now I'm wondering what to do about the safety ground installation on page 12 and AC ground buss connection to make on page 17. I contacted Bottlehead, but I know it's going to be some time to get a replacement part. I went around to several local electronic stores to look for a replacement and nothing.

So... do I have other options here? I was thinking I could just run the bare buss wire from terminal E to the ground safety screw where I could wrap it around where the solder lug would have been installed. I'll tighten that down before then running the buss wire to terminal 16L.

Thoughts? Good idea? Bad idea? Is there another way to do this with what I have or should I just wait until I get the solder lug?

Go to your local auto parts store and ask them for bare ring terminals - there will be one that looks roughly similar to our part.  (They are easier to solder to when the #8 nuts aren't clamping them)

Got it installed and it worked great. Everything is up and running. Thanks!
