I am upgrading the UF4007 rectifiers with Cree Schottky rectifiers and have a few questions before install.

Do I have to remove any resistors for this upgrade?

The Cree rectifiers have a minus sign (-) above one of the leads. Does this correspond to the banded side of the UF4007?

Thanks in advance, Jay.

Hello Jay,

I will provide assistance with the assumption that you will not try to use these on the terminal strips (put them on proto board)

If you have the diode in your hand, and the pins are facing down and the heatsink is facing toward the right, then the banded end is forward.
