So I have a annoying problem.  I recently upgraded to HD digital cable. Occasionally (2-4 times a day) I get heavy distortion in the audio, (kind of a harmonized digital buzz). The fact that this happens on my Roku box and cable box (haven't noticed it with the blu-ray, but that doesn't get used as much), leads me to believe it's a synch-handshaking error, probably in the TV.  The fix, currently, is to turn off any one of the units being used (i.e. TV or cable box)  Each unit is plugged in to the TV with  its own HDMI cable.
If any one has a suggestion (other than ditch the TV, I'll put up with it for now) I'd appreciate it.

I had some funky issues like this at one point with my TV.

What I ended up having to do was to download updated firmware onto a USB drive, then to tell the TV to update its firmware.

Thanks, I have the firmware (downloaded it last weekend), now  I just need to find a appropriate SD card to install it.
