QUICKIE AC POWER SUPPLY
on:
May 19, 2014, 06:50:14 PM
Some time ago someone posted a schematic of an AC power supply for the QUICKIE. I have been trying to find it, but to no avail.I wonder if someone could display it again?
Thanks in avance,
Bernie.

I posted some details of my build, it was a little overkill to be honest so the design could be simplified. In short you need ~38v for the plates, and 1.4v for the filaments. The crucial bit is you need two fully independent (i.e. floating) 1.4v supplies for the filaments, as in the + and - cannot be connected to the 38v high voltage supply in any way.

Anybody got the schematic? I could design my own... but that would require learning and work.

Fixed the link in my above post. Not necessarily the best design but it should give you some inspiration at least.

I just recommended the Q in another forum. One reason was for the battery power. On the other hand, I would curious how an over the top AC power supply would perform.
