Hello, I have been trying to look through the forum for this information but I can't seem to find it. I would like to build a Gold Point Mini-V custom for my Crack. I need to know what the basic Attenuator should be to put in a Crack (how many ohms). I think i read somewhere it should be 100K ohm. Is that right.
So I buy a mini-V and then build in the 23/channel of the Dale Vishay resistors at the amounts listed on the site. So a total of 46 resistors to equal a 100K ohm stepped attenuator.
Does that sound right? Is there any reason to buy the one already built with the surface mount resistors and just be done with it. Or is building it with high quality resistors a better way to go. Sounds like more fun to build it myself, but the price for the one already built is actually cheaper.
Thanks, Tom
