Hello everyone, i recently ordered a crack + sb and its on the way.
I was thinking about lowering the height of the case as much as i can and I wanted to know if can someone measure for me the height from the plate to the end of the sb heat spreader (assuming this is the lowest part).
i am planning to add spikes at the bottom so airflow shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks Ben.

Hi Ben,
Height from bottom of top-plate to bottom of the heatsink is 81mm (3.19"). On the standard base there is about 5mm (.19") clearance between the bottom of the heatsink & the bottom of the base.

Thanks for the response.
5 mm? On pictures it look like a lot more, I guess I can go lower till the capacitors and "expose" the heatsink while using tall enough spikes, though I wonder if the look is worth it..  :o

The "top" of the heat sink is very close to even with the lower edge of the wood base.
