The manual says that A1 and B4 should start high but settle down to 4 ohms.  Well, mine settles down to 1000 ohms. But when i put a 300b tube in the socket it measures 5.2 ohms.  The immediate wires are correctly connected (in the case of A1, to the lower part of terminal 4 and positive out of the regulator board). I checked the boards and they seem to be fine.

2.The manual says that terminals 10 and 15 should start low and rise to 20k, but mine measure higher in megaohm and 100k territory.  Immediate wiring seems correct.

3. Finally, some of the terminals connected to the screws of power transformer bells measure high resistance.  I am sure that this has to do with the paint on the transformer cover. Do I need to fix this given that in put transformers there are some terminals that measure zero resistance (44, 37, 38)?

Many thanks in advance for all your help.

I fixed problem three by scraping the paint on all four corners of the transformer bell, and I did more detective work about the two remaining problems, which I mention in the hope that it will help you to guide me.

Terminal 10 starts high and ultimately measures 268.6K. This makes sense to me since the path to the ground (the center pin of the nine tube socket) goes through a 300 ohm resistor and a 270K resistor, but I do not know why the manual says 20K+.

A1 measures 1K.  This is the measurement that I detected between the positive out and negative out of the regulator board.  Hope this helps.  Thanks.

The manual says 20K+ because different meters are going to give different values.  Since you have more than 20K, this isn't a problem.

I'd move on to voltages.

Thank you so much, Paul.  I did the voltage and everything is fine.  The amp is singing.  I will give a report in a few weeks.
