Hi,

I'm about to build three power cords and want to make sure I make them super neat. I don't understand this, from step 25 in the instructions:

- "You can push the Techflex down toward the shrink tubing in order to expand it while the glue is still liquid to get a nice even seal between the techflex and the shrink tubing."

What am I actually expanding when pushing the techflex like this? It seems I'm actually compressing the heatshrink. Is the idea that I'm pushing any exposed adhesive down under the heatshrink so the edge will be neat?

Thanks,
Derek

The idea is to push the tech flex so that it expands around the soft heatshrink while the glue is warm and pliable.

This will ensure that there is glue to tech-flex contact all the way around, without any unusual gaps.

Ah, got it. I thought it was for cosmetic reasons.
Will give it a go this weekend.
Thanks,
Derek
