Hi,

My Quickie recently started making a wierd sound when I walk past it.  I think the sound is only in one channel, and it sounds like a static sound, lasts for a second or two, then goes away.  Is this anything to be concerned about?

It is possible that the cell phone in your pocket causes the noise.  And it is possible that it is something else like microphony.

A little troubleshooting will help sort it out.  Move your cell phone close to and away from the Quickie.  Also try tromping in front of it.  And it could be something else.

If you are not making a very loud noise through your speakers it should harm nothing.  But, if it were me, I would find what is causing it just so I would know.

I don't really get it but they are problems with tubes.

Glad you sorted it out.

My cheapo computer speakers are very sensitive to cell phones, too. And computer noises of course. If I turn the one with the amplifier upside down, and angle it just so, it will stop picking up the disc drive.
