I ordered my first Bottlehead Kit, the Crack OTL a few weeks ago and
recently I heard about an issue where a customer bought an electronical device (outside of Europe)
that the customs in Germany didnt allow him to take with him.

They said "that certain product is unsafe as it lacks the 'CE' sign"
(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_marking)

So now my question is, have there been any problems with Bottlehead products shipping to Europe, or does the CE sign even matter
as the Crack OTL is after all just a kit that the owner has to build by himself?

Thanks

I suspect that as you are essentially buying a box of parts and not a assembled item it should not be a problem.

Shoot for the moon if you miss you will still be amongst the stars!

I ordered a Crack, Stereomour and most recently the Speedball. All shipped to Luxembourg within the last 18 months without an issue.

To Switzerland was also no problem. I bought already two BH kits as well as several others.

Enjoy!

I believe it is exempt from all type approval because its a kit, if Bottlehead assembled and sold it as an amplifier then it would be subject a whole bunch of regulations for each country.

Only thing to keep in mind is customs charges, can be rather expensive in certain countrys.
