Goldpoint resistors

I'm building up a Goldpoint attenuator for the Crack. I have a mix of both Dale RN55 (1/8 watt) and RN60 (1/4 watt) to cover the resistance values needed. With 100K total resistance and a typical 2V CD player output I'm thinking the 1/8 watt resistors should easily cover the power requirements. Am I correct?

Yes, you are right.  The 100k Ohm resistance doesn't draw appreciable current.

Ohm's Law says that with 100,000 Ohms and 2 Volts across it, total power dissipated is 0.00004 Watts (on the whole 100K string). For some safety margin, you would want a resistor rated to dissipate 0.00012 Watts.  The lowest wattage rating I see on Mouser is 0.001 Watts, so you should be fine with just about any resistor in existence, at least from a power perspective.

The Dale Mil-spec is very conservative, in commercial versions the '55' is rated at half watt & the '60' at 1 watt.
