Adding a Cree worth it if Integration is installed?

Just went through the power supply revelation with the Crack and I'm wondering if the Reduction would also benefit from the Cree's if the Integration is installed?

It was also brought forth in that discussion that just adding one Cree in the PS path would do the same.  True here as well?

Thanks!
Aaron

Why not spend under $2* and tell us?  Somewhere I posted that you only need one Cree, just put it between the diode bridge and the rest of the power supply circuit, going to the first capacitor.  You add a volt and a fraction drop that will be inconsequential.  This is an old trick from years ago when Crees were hard to find and expensive.  Second thought: you can put it anywhere in the power supply like after the final cap and before the wire going to power the circuit.  It filters anywhere.

*Buy the Cree from Digi-Key, ask for the first class mail option.  You will spend less than $2 and can bring information to the board.

I already have one - I just wanted to make sure I would not release any magic smoke before doing this.

I will proceed.

The shunt regulated power supply of the Integration offers enormous isolation from the power supply, which makes modifications like power supply chokes and Cree diodes somewhat wasteful.

I'm going to ruin my kids college fund anyway...

$2 out the door!!!   ::)

I dood it.. 8)

Not near as much a change as on the Crack and as mentioned above this PS is already very well isolated.  Maybe a tad more extension (top and bottom) and a more blackness but...not much.  It did not hurt anything that's for sure!
